COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

We invest time, energy, and talent into supporting our community. When an organization makes a commitment to its community by investing in local businesses, education, nonprofit programs, and other valuable resources, it paves the way for its own growth and success.

We want to be involved in fostering positive change locally and nationally by sharing our knowledge, expertise, and resources. We believe that being a good corporate citizen is, in many ways, key to being a successful business.

Our 2008-2009 Community Initiatives include work with:

  • Community 2022
  • Historic Troy 2020
  • The Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce
  • The Sage Colleges
  • Troy 100 Forum
  • Troy High School
  • The Troy Police
  • The Troy School Board
  • Troy YWCA

Our members support:

  • Albany Capitals
  • The Arts Center of The Capital Region
  • The Capital District Community Gardens
  • Capital Leadership at the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce
  • Girls, Inc.
  • Joseph’s House
  • Leadership Institute at the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce
  • Literacy Volunteers of America, Mohawk-Hudson Chapter
  • Make-a-Wish Foundation
  • The New York State Museum
  • The New York State Theatre Institute
  • Park Playhouse
  • Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood
  • The Rensselaer County Historical Society
  • The Troy Boys and Girls Club
  • Unity House

In addition, we encourage our staff to participate in programs of their choice through "Make a Difference" days—paid time off that can be used to volunteer within our community.
